ELLA PEGAN

Hello! Welcome to my site. My name is Ella Pegan, and it's very nice to meet you.

I'm an emerging writer/director based in Ottawa, ON. Ever since I was twelve, all I wanted was to write stories. My work spans poetry, prose, stage plays and screenplays. I love writing about women, especially about their relationships to femininity, power, and sex. I'm inspired by the works of Diablo Cody, Greta Gerwig, and Hannah Moscovitch. 

In addition to writing, I also have a passion for production. I've worked on film sets for two years in a variety of roles, mostly as an Assistant Director. I've produced a short film as well as a stage play, and I'm only getting started.

I graduated from Canterbury’s Literary Arts program in 2022. I have a certificate in Creative Writing from Concordia Continuing Education and am a graduate of Algonquin College’s Scriptwriting graduate program. I've been mentored by Lib Spry and Andrea Scott.
